I want this room to feel more masculine/feminine/neutral:
Neutral
What type of sunlight does this room receive?:
Morning light
What do you currently dislike about the room?:
It is actually easier to say what we like. We love the open space of the living room, and the thing of having living room, dining room and kitchen in one space. We also like the high ceiling.
We believe this space has a great opportunity for renovation, but it definitely needs a fresh look and better finishes.
Are you open to changing your wall colors?:
Yes
Do you have a preference for either paint or wall covering, or are you open to both?:
Living & dining room, and kitchen including stair railing (they are in the same room)
REGARDING DESIGN, we really want this to look AMAZING and have the WOW effect when we enter to this space. Please check the following Pinterest Album to see all the ideas we have. Please check the comments of every pin to see what exactly we like of it.

Additional comments to designers:
Patio - Entrance is though the patio/long lobby. Wow part of the house. Want to put flowers/in-door garden, modern. sit/get a coffee/read a book. Maybe one hanging chair. Artificial grass on walls maybe?
KITCHEN - kitchen is being designed by the kitchen cabinet company - Want to invest in appliances and cabinets. - Contractor is more familiar with colonial style kitchen so still not sure how to approach kitchen.

Since your room gets plenty of sunlight your color options are quite broad.
For your main color, we chose to use white/off-white as it offers a fresh, clean, feel to the space. White and off-white colors are often a favorite for walls because they are light, neutral, and match most color schemes. They are known to make rooms feel more airy and spacious.
Use a matte finish paint because it will be helpful in camouflaging those surface imperfections such as bumps and cracks as it does not reflect light. Just be careful because matte finish is more difficult to clean. You may also need to touch up scratches or marks by adding more of the same paint in the future.
Since your room gets plenty of sunlight your color options are quite broad. In addition to a medium gray wallpaper, the accent wall color will blend perfectly. Using white for the ceiling will create a fresh appearance.
For your main color, we chose to use light grey/off-white as it offers a fresh, clean, feel to the space. White and off-white colors are often a favorite for walls because they are light, neutral, and match most color schemes. They are known to make rooms feel more airy and spacious.
Use an eggshell finish paint which has a very light touch of shine (similar texture to an eggshell as implied by its name). This finish is very often used for walls and is more durable and easier to clean than matte finish.
