Contemporary Open Concept Living Room & Kitchen

I’m building a new house and looking for help for the interior design of kitchen/family room( all one large room) and the living room. After the design is done, I might look for help with furniture.

We want to focus on kitchen selection and built ins first. Here is white we are thinking:
- White cabinets with slim black hardware (matte black) for main cabinets (integrated fridge and freezer)
- Dark Grey or black island with white marble style quartz (with grey or possibly dark streaks mostly white) waterfall on side. Hardware possibly gold here? need some feedback on this one. Photo below of a cabinet we saw in person we liked for island.
- Backplash same marble quartz
- Fireplace same marble quartz
- Built ins on side of fireplace to be same color as under island (black or dark grey)
- Pendants above island (would like 3) black and gold

Floors will be light wood, see 4809 finishes. We are not using everything in there but gives you general idea of style. Will also have tile ceiling throughout room.

We do not like anything farm house or too traditional. We want the house to be modern and timeless.
