I want this room to feel more masculine/feminine/neutral:
Neutral
What type of sunlight does this room receive?:
Morning light
What do you currently dislike about the room?:
Lack of Storage, clutter, bad work space, My desk area, lighting, lack of flow to other rooms, the pass through, we want to open that wall up and potentially have my desk area on the remaining wall to the left as you walk in. At the far end by the wooden shutters where my desk is currently those windows are 1 foot from the floor and about 5 inches from window so you cant put cabinets right up to end because of the window, so unsure how to address that problem, just leave a floor space or?
What pieces of existing furniture, lighting, art or accessories do you want to keep in the design?:
we would replace everything except keep the travertine floor because it flows through that entire floor. We would like a 36 inch gas range or cooktop and hood if there is place to add a wall oven preferably not on the island, would like a single large sink in the island and dishwasher in island and trash. Seating that can go under overhang on island to act as sa buffet, maybe max 4 chairs. 36 Inch French door fridge/freezer, counter depth, water on inside, sleek design, wine cellar tall or wine fridge.
Even though my inspiration pictures are two tone colors I think I prefer to keep it white for Island and cabinets, I am looking at a pental quartz or quartz counter top instead of marble because of durability. Becasue once the wall is down it will flow into the dining room, I believe the only wall to put fridge, range or wall oven etc is the main wall, I don't want panels for the stainless steel appliances but I don't want it too look super heavy on one side if possible. The cabinets do not have to be solid wood we are happy with Painted Maple or MDF, its more about look and function.

Since your room is smaller using a light and pale color will enhance the light and the space in your room
For your main color, we chose to use white/off-white as it offers a fresh, clean, feel to the space. White and off-white colors are often a favorite for walls because they are light, neutral, and match most color schemes. They are known to make rooms feel more airy and spacious.
Use an eggshell finish paint which has a very light touch of shine (similar texture to an eggshell as implied by its name). This finish is very often used for walls and is more durable and easier to clean than matte finish
