Project Description:

Need to design and living room, and need to design a powder room... sadly the powder room has no window.
Living room has a nice fireplace and sliding glass doors that lead out to a deck on the other side.

Prefer eclectic or hints of eclectic, with a traditional base layer, if that makes sense. Definitely open to some antiques and vintage pieces. The house is located in New England.

**We do not plan on having TV in this living room. We have a separate den. and that is more likely where TV will stay. We wanted this living room to be more like the showpiece room of the house where we do entertaining for guests and socializing.

What do you currently dislike about the room?:

No window, but unfortunately cannot change that. Just dislike that it is drab / bleh, hoping some use of extra lighting and / or extra mirrored surfaces will brighten it up.
Also, the pedestal sink has a crack in it so we definitely want a new sink or a small vanity. There is no real storage in here , would like a little bit of storage. Open to adding another light fixture(s) / making lighting changes.

What pieces of existing furniture, lighting, art or accessories do you want to keep in the design?:

Keep the toilet, keep the flooring, it's all in good shape. The flooring is not my fave, but it seems pretty neutral, and I was hoping you could work with it.
