Would like to have project completed end of May- son is getting married end of June.

FYI! It took a lot of convincing to get my wife to agree to using Decorilla. So, my credibility and the designer's is at stake :).

Home Office: I run a consulting firm and typically work from my home office quite a bit. I'm looking for a very functional space - ideally with an electric standing desk, some storage for books (100 or so), a comfortable nook to put my feet up and read. Has to be a serene and comfortable space, since I spend over 8-10 hours there daily.

Family Room: The kitchen, family room, and sunroom are one open space - so I want to make sure that the colors, style, and accessories flow well. I only need the kitchen cabinets and center island painted (nothing else) and need accessories, rug, paint color, and furniture arrangement in the family room (we have the taupe LoveSac sectional and the room has windows on one wall, fireplace with mantle that goes all the way to the ceiling and needs color, rug, and furniture/accessoriesd. Would like this space to be modern/contemporary.

Formal Areas: The formal dining/living/conservatory are one large open area as well. So, would like that to be a functional, bright, and comfortable space that we can use to entertain and relax in since this area isn't currently used at all because it isn't a fun space :). Would like this space to be glamorous and a show stopper.

Lived in the home for 15 years - would like to transform it rather than sell and move and hence this project.

Need finish guidance on island in kitchen- I don't like the oak.

In terms of color - I'd like the designer to recommend color schemes. We're open to creative ideas and colors that are vibrant yet soothing not dull.

I've paid for the 3D design model for this, but I don't see that noted so highlighting it.

We want to brighten up the entire space and make it a stunning area that is functional since guests have a direct view into this area when they enter the home. Since the three areas are directly connected with no walls it will be great if the decor, colors, rugs, etc. flow well.

The furniture we had - buffet, large china, table for 10, etc. took up too much space in the room and made it feel very crowded. Would be open to sleeker furniture, a table with one or two leaves (can be expanded on special occasions), etc. We need some storage for China but would like the furniture to not be overpowering and too big.

We're open to ideas - would prefer comfortable seating and splashes of color in the accessories and a design that's crisp and stunning.

What pieces of existing furniture, lighting, art or accessories do you want to keep in the design?:

The two columns on either side of the fireplace are load bearing, so I'm working with a structural engineer to see if we can have them removed (adding a beefier beam to support).

For the purposes of the design, please assume that the square columns will stay. I'll let you know if the situation changes.

We had very traditional furniture in both formal areas - buffet, china, long table for 10, etc in the dining area and a 3 seater, 2 one seaters and a large center table in the formal living. The colors were dull (brown family) and the space looked too congested. We hardly ever used this portion of the home. We'd like to change this and make it much more inviting, comfortable, and a fun place to hang out in.

This is a blank slate for you. We've sold our formal living room furniture and are in the process of selling our formal dining room furniture too.

There is a beautiful chandelier and two sconces in the formal dining area that can be replaced - if they don't fit into the design scheme. I'll upload the photos here shortly. There is a large mirror on the formal dining room wall. I'm open to having this replaced as well.

We had recessed lights installed in the formal living and dining areas last year and they're on a dimmer.

We recently got the oak colored floors refinished in whitewash finish since we wanted to brighten up all the floors on the main level.

My wife has ordered window treatments for all the rooms during her visit to India. The drapes are in a white/light gray tone all around. I've uploaded two photos of the drapes. The solid colored one is for the windows in the formal living and dining area and the one that has a pattern is for the conservatory area.

Each of the rooms have lots of windows, so they can get quite bright during the day - morning light from the formal dining area and late afternoon light into the formal living and conservatory.

Prefer soft color palette and nice texture on furniture. Would like you to use your creative instincts to transform this space. We want to use this as an alternate area to the family room (if the kids are in the family room playing video games or hanging out with friends) we would like to use the formal area to entertain or to just spend time together.

Has a large bay window facing the front of the home which is great because it let's in tons of light, but makes that wall unusable for storage or any other fixture.

It wasn't very comfortable and functional - had bookcases but they weren't great to look at and took up all of the back wall.

I placed a large work table in front of the bay window and that took up most of the space since the room is narrow - impacted traffic flow.

I wanted a stand up desk (motorized) that I could use.

What pieces of existing furniture, lighting, art or accessories do you want to keep in the design?:

None. I want you to design an out of the world office that is functional, cozy, and fun to be in. Don't mind splashes of color on certain walls and a small seating section - where my son or I can relax and read.
