Project Description:

We bought our house last year, was built in 1994 and now we are remodeling entire main floor which includes main foyer , living room, dining room, family room , study , kitchen and 2 half baths.

Our kitchen is most important right now and we need ideas ASAP.

I also took some pictures and a movie walking through the first floor (please ignore the random sounds/items!)

We have hired a full contractor for project.

My problem is I want to have a cohesive look but finding it challenging and don’t want to make costly mistakes.

My brother who lives in San Francisco , and his friends in bay area have used your services and he recommended that I should look into your services

Style: modern, simplistic, calming tones, afraid of color, a little pop maybe but mostly warm tones

- There is a wall between the kitchen and living room

- fireplace in middle- should takedown

- Same flooring for a full floor

My Great Room ColorsMy Great Room

Since your room gets plenty of sunlight your color options are quite broad.

For your main color, we chose to use white/off-white as it offers a fresh, clean, feel to the space. White and off-white colors are often a favorite for walls because they are light, neutral, and match most color schemes. They are known to make rooms feel more airy and spacious. Make sure the contractor also paints the ceiling and trim throughout

You could use an eggshell finish paint which has a very light touch of shine (similar texture to an eggshell as implied by its name). This finish is very often used for walls and is more durable and easier to clean than matte finish. You could also use a satin finish for more durable and cleanable walls.

Use a satin finish paint which has a bit more gloss than eggshell finish and is a little smoother. This finish is often used for windows, doors, trim, and ceilings, but can also be ideal walls in kids’ rooms, bathrooms, kitchens and other high-traffic areas because it is easier to clean than eggshell finish. The espresso stain on the cabinets should be highly durable!

Please have the contractor quote putting the quartz material on the inset niches. I think this will elevate the space to what you want it to be. Then you could put something very simple in front of the quartz, I have shown a simple pedestal stand with a wood sculpture on it. Something modern and trendy, without being a mirror!
