Need help with my living room decorating and color schemes. The only thing that has to stay is the couch and flooring. I have a painter lined up and available for the next 2 weeks to get started at least on the paint color for the walls. Everything else can be done gradually without a time limit. Want it to feel like home but also look expensive.

What do you currently dislike about the room?:

I love the openness and large windows. Not really anything else. I don’t like the couch but the couch has to stay (agreed with my husband on it) and it’s new/expensive. The couch is able to be rearranged into different layouts as well. It is from lovesac sectionals. The floors are real hardwoods and too expensive to refinish at this time because I have inside dogs. Once the dogs are no longer with us then I plan to restain the floors. The home is over a million dollar home (more than that if it were in a different location) and I would like for it to have that appearance.

What pieces of existing furniture, lighting, art or accessories do you want to keep in the design?:

Couch. The stand alone cabinet has everything from our wedding as decor. Would be okay with it staying or moving to another area. Large television of some sort must be incorporated. Doesn’t have to be where the current one is placed.
