Glamorous Contemporary Bedroom Design
Project Description:
Hello, I am shopping around for an online interior decorating service that provides services in Parsippany, New Jersey. A company that can offer a one time in-home consultation to see the space. It's not a deal breaker, but I feel comfortable if the designer see the space at least once and then transition to a full online service. Whatever is best in creating a wow dramatic and beautiful space for a doable affordable price. I have a few designers in mind that I would like to work with.
The house needs furnishing and decorating for 3 major areas. Kitch/dining; living room and one of three bedrooms. Can start with the bedroom. Design for these areas to include furniture selection, furniture space planning, accent pieces, flowers, art, paint, lighting, nix nacks, accessories, etc, etc everything to make a complete beautiful magazine worthy transformation.
My style - Mainly transitional, hint of modern and dash of glam.....whooat!...yes. I like parts from each style.
Background: a small foreclosure I bought with just bare bones and fixed it to be able to enter into a high market neighborhood. I do not intened to sell, but i want to bring my tiny little home up to snuff as it was the sore in the neighborhood.
I am most excited about the transformation of my living room, then kitchen/dining then bedroom. I have a lower budget after all the reno and fixing, my kitchen was gutted and reno, so now just needs accessories. I am best with designers that can separate style and beauty from money. It doesnt have to be expensive to be beautful, so wayfair, west elm, all modern, cb2, restoration hardware etc are places that can help within giving me my designer home. hanks Keisha

Dimensions:
13 x 11
Floor plan:
Photos of your room:
Room Label:
My Master Bedroom
What type of sunlight does this room receive?:
Mid-day light
What do you currently dislike about the room?:
It's a small master.
The bulky blinds.
Worried the layout will block out light if bed is placed in front window.
Dislike not having overhead light.
What pieces of existing furniture, lighting, art or accessories do you want to keep in the design?:
No current existing furniture, no lighting, no art or accessories. Blank slate.
Are you open to changing your wall colors?:
Yes
Do you have a preference for either paint or wall covering, or are you open to both?:
It's a tiny house and a small master bedroom, on the good side I can get my designer magazine worthy bedroom I hope with my budget. I am looking for cohesiveness of color, texture, design styles. The pieces doesn't have to be brand names for them to work together.
Important: Pls do not make bedding and curtains integral to the design cohesiveness. I want to change my bedding frequently without worrying about messing up the design essence of the room. Prefer lightly dressed windows. I put new faux blinds and HATE IT! It's the first thing I see when I enter the room and it blocks out some light. I love the light.. Not a fan of bulky window drapes.
Bed: Prefer - sturdy contemporary box spring beds with solid low legs.
Lighting : LOVE beautiful lighting, especially modern/glam lighting. Bedroom will need an overhead lighting plus any others.

Using lighter colors in your room will make it feel more airy and bright.
For your main color, we chose to use gray because it is neutral and seen as elegant and classy. It compliments many colors such as white, blue, and yellow and works well as part of a color scheme in any room.
Use an eggshell finish paint which has a very light touch of shine (similar texture to an eggshell as implied by its name). This finish is very often used for walls and is more durable and easier to clean than matte finish
